Improving Buildings’ Metabolism by Rooftop Greenhouses

The paper focuses on the rooftop greenhouses’ capability to improve buildings’ metabolism and to provide carbon offset, due to the photosynthesis produced by the plants. The integration of the greenhouse with the building is achieved by controlled bidirectional air flows. A structural Simulink model of this system supports significant simulations.
