Cooperative Maintenance Policy and Pricing Scheme for a Leased Series Manufacturing System

Lease is an important mode of service-oriented manufacturing. A manufacturer may lease multiple machines from different suppliers to assemble a manufacturing system. We need to find the optimal maintenance policy for the system, and make a reasonable lease pricing scheme to promote the realization of the cooperative maintenance among the suppliers. In this paper, an optimization model is proposed to obtain a long-term maintenance policy for the system by minimizing a cost rate function. Then, the lease pricing scheme is proposed considering the marginal contributions of each supplier in the cooperation which are measured by the Shapley value method that is able to achieve fairness in profit allocation. Finally, a case study is used to show the application of the proposed methods for determining maintenance policy and pricing the lease.
