A Multi-Domain Feature Separability Analysis Method for Maritime Targets

To address the problem of multi-domain feature variation of multi-attitude targets in the background of sea clutter, the paper uses X-band radar to carry out data acquisition experiments of multi-attitude targets at sea, and analyzes the statistical features of multi-attitude targets in the time domain and frequency domain under low sea state, and defines the difference coefficients to analyze the difference of statistical features. The verification of a large amount of measured data shows that in low sea state, the statistical features of targets and sea clutter are different and have strong separability; the difference coefficients of the same statistical features between different attitude targets are between 0.0 and 0.1, which have small differences and no separability. These conclusions are of great significance for the data acquisition experiments of sea target characteristics and the optimized design of target identification methods.
