Contact Force Analysis of the Aviation Spline Drive System under the Influence of Misalignment and Unbalanced Faults

Due to the coupling factors such as manufacturing error, assembly error and base deformation, it is easy to induce the early misalignment and unbalance fault of the aviation spline transmission system, resulting in serious wear of the aviation spline and reducing the service life of the transmission system. In view of the serious spline wear phenomenon, this paper takes a certain type of aviation spline transmission system as the research object, based on SolidWorks and Adams, rigid connection model and flexible connection model of aviation spline drive system are constructed, the change of contact force under the influence of misalignment and unbalance fault is compared and analyzed. The results show that with the increase of misalignment, the contact force of rigid connection and flexible connection increases gradually, but the rigid connection increases sharply; The peak-to-peak and root-mean-square values of the contact force of the flexible connection of the aviation spline drive system are much smaller than those of the rigid connection; The flexible connection of the aviation spline drive system significantly reduces the contact force of misalignment and unbalance faults. The research results can be used as reference for reducing spline wear and designing high-reliability and long-life aviation spline drive system.
