GUI-Based Multi-Objective Maintenance Optimization of Series-Parallel Pipeline Systems

It is necessary to establish a maintenance management framework that can be broadly applied to the pipeline systems with different structures, so as to provide a reference for the maintenance of industrial pipelines. For series-parallel pipeline systems, this paper develops a graphical user interface (GUI) that can be used to balance the tradeoff between transport continuity and maintenance costs. Thus, reasonable and reliable maintenance solutions for pipeline systems are provided. The interface allows the input of field inspection data to develop multiple maintenance strategies that focus on different optimization metrics for management to choose from. The effectiveness of the operational results is verified by case analysis. The developed interface can be subsequently improved not only algorithmically, but also in terms of the interface framework to increase the possibility and universality of its application in theoretical research and industry applications.
