The Sensitivity Influence Factors Analysis of Metasurface-based Sensor

In this paper, we propose a metasurface-based sensor for material detection. By analyzing three factors that influence the performance of the sensor in the sensing model, the thickness of the material under test (MUT), the polarization and the incident angle of the electromagnetic wave. We determine that the thickness of the MUT is 10 mm, the electromagnetic wave polarization is horizontally polarization, and the incident angle is 20°. These factors significantly enhance the sensitivity and accuracy of the sensor, thereby improve the sensing performance.
