Ultra-Wideband Horizontally Polarized Ceiling-Mount Antenna for 5G/6G Application

In the 5G/6G communication system, antennas require ultra-wideband to enhance the signal capacity. This paper proposes an ultra-wideband horizontally polarized ceiling-mount antenna, by designing the rectangular slot as an extension slot, and loading a parasitic patch, thereby improving the impedance bandwidth. The experimental measurement demonstrates that the proposed antenna achieves 78.8% (1.73.91 GHz) of the relative bandwidth with a peak gain of 4.5 dBi and with good omnidirectional patterns in the horizontal plane.
