Simulation Based Analysis of Microgrid using Green Energy Resources

This research paper investigates the seamless integration and synchronism in the islanded mode of integrating a diesel generator as a backup in a microgrid with solar (PV) and wind power. Green energy is produced by solar panels and wind turbines, and during periods of high demand or low renewable energy production, a diesel generator maintains dependability. MATLAB/Simulink’s sophisticated algorithms control Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) for solar and wind power, which maximizes energy flow. It is essential for the control system to coordinate power from all sources while taking dynamic loads into account when operating in the islanded mode. Effective control strategies handle fluctuations and guarantee stable power supply to linked devices. In addition to stressing the microgrid’s dependability, efficiency, and potential for resilient, sustainable energy solutions, the concept also highlights the significance of effective control for seamless integration.
