An Aggregation Method for Massive Load Side Resources Participating in the Electricity Spot Market

To achieve the participation of massive load-side resources in the electricity spot market and efficiently coordinate the regulation of load-side flexible resources, this paper proposes an aggregation method for the feasible domain and quotation of load-side flexible resources. Based on the current situation of the actual power market, feasible domain aggregation and quotation aggregation of load-side resources can be achieved from the scheduling level, reducing the impact of massive load-side resources flooding into the power spot market on the spot system. Modeling the load side resource market entities using virtual generators or virtual batteries, clustering based on the load resource modeling method and nodes, feasible aggregation of similar load side resources based on bound shrinking method, and using segmented quotation aggregation model for quotation curve aggregation. After aggregation, the feasible region and quotation are used as boundary data to participate in the optimization and clearance of the electricity spot market. Through IEEE39 node case testing and analysis, it is shown that this method is feasible and the results obtained by this method after de-aggregation are consistent with the results of direct participation of load-side resources in the market. This method provides an engineering implementation method for the participation of load-side market entities in the market, providing technical support for the participation of massive load-side resources in the clearing of the electricity market.
