Cultural Representation in Digital Art: Mascot Designs Expressing the Diversity of Tai Ethnic Cultures

This research focuses on the creation of digital mascots to represent the diverse cultures of Tai ethnic groups in the Lanna Kingdom or Northern Thailand in a present day, namely Tai Yuan, Tai Lue, Tai Yai, Tai Khuen, and Tai Yong. Research emphasizes the importance of accurate and respectful cultural representation in digital mascot design, highlighting the ethical considerations and the potential impact on public perception and understanding of Tai ethnic cultures.The paper outlines a comprehensive approach to mascot design, including extensive cultural research, consultations with cultural experts, and the use of advanced digital art techniques to ensure authenticity and respectfulness in representation.
