Investigation of Aerogel-Based Thermal Covers Characteristics During Testing in a Climate Chamber

This article is devoted to the study of changes in the properties of aerogel-based thermal covers during accelerated aging in the aging chamber. The work contains an overview of the requirements for high-temperature thermal insulation, substantiation of the relevance of using aerogel-based thermal covers for thermal insulation of high-temperature equipment. This investigation describes the effect of accelerated aging processes in laboratory conditions on the thermal characteristics of aerogel-based thermal covers. The coefficients of acceleration of aging tests for the effects of temperature, humidity and UV radiation and the combined coefficient of acceleration of aging are calculated. The tests included cycles with high levels of ultraviolet radiation alternating with high temperature and humidity levels.
