Application of Virtual and Augmented Reality Technology to Demonstrate Energy Equipment

This paper considers the possibilities of using augmented and virtual reality technology to demonstrate complex energy equipment. An analysis of augmented reality mobile application development tools was carried out, and the YOLOv3 neural network was integrated with the ARCore library to implement augmented reality technology with and without labels, also a prototype application was developed to demonstrate scientific results development projects for Android. The developed prototype application contains information on large-scale power unit installations in the areas of interest of the five main areas of MPEI work, including information on selected promising MPEI developments applicable to these installations.
