Top Pressure Recovery Turbine Efficiency Improving

This paper considers a method of using secondary energy resources (SER) in blast furnace production, namely, excess pressure utilization of blast furnace gas in a top pressure recovery turbine (TRT). The analysis of the blast furnace gas dry cleaning scheme as a way to increase the efficiency of the use of gas purification is carried out, and a solution is proposed to the problem of using dry gas purification by installing an evaporative scrubber in front of the turbine, in which the blast furnace gas is cooled to the required temperatures. The results of the calculation of the expansion process of wet blast furnace gas in the turbine before it reaches the saturation state are presented. The indicators of the cleaning efficiency of various schemes are determined.
