Analysis of the Classification System of Technogenic Emergencies of Radiation Character

This paper is devoted to the classification, identification and grouping of emergencies of radiation character for the possibility of their further scientific analysis and statistical processing. The necessity of building a reliable space of emergency signs is shown, which will allow to unambiguously determine the transition of a hazardous technological event (HTE) with a radiation factor to the status of emergency of radiation character. The analysis of the existing legislative and regulatory documentation of classification of signs of emergency of radiation character and signs of HTE with radiation factor, defined in accordance with international rules and departmental documents, has revealed their poor correlation, as a result of which the reliability and completeness of selection of a subset of the relevant emergency is not ensured. The paper formulates the basic requirements to the feature space and proposes a procedure for selecting a subset of emergencies of radiation character from the set of HTE. The obtained results can be further used in the methodology for assessing the effectiveness of measures to prevent such emergencies.
