Joint Communication Radar Systems Based on Time-Modulated Plasma-Based Intelligent Reflecting Surface

In this paper, the investigation focuses on joint communication radar systems that utilize time-modulated plasma-based intelligent reflecting surfaces. These systems employ plasma-based bow-tie elements and employ a time-modulated array technique to perform both radar and communication functions simultaneously. To mitigate the presence of TMA harmonic sidebands, a positive and negative alternating periodic modulation function is employed. Additionally, the plasma-based bow-tie elements are utilized to direct the communication and radar beams in separate directions.
