Optimization Method for Demand Response of Thermal Storage Electric Boilers

This paper proposes a comprehensive optimization method for participating in demand response in a centralized heating system mainly composed of thermal storage electric boilers. A physical model of the heat supply process at the heat source station is established, and an optimization algorithm is designed based on the participation process. The algorithm starts from the perspective of the load aggregators with the objective of minimizing overall costs to improve users' willingness to participate in demand response. Simulations based on examples are conducted to verify the effectiveness of the method, and the differences in operating strategies before and after optimization are analyzed.
