The Research on Modeling of Decision Support System for Cable Construction Project

Industrial information is the only way of achieving high-quality development of economy. With the extensive development of cable construction projects in China, the level of construction information and automation directly affects the progress, quality, safety, and efficiency of projects. However, in existing academic research and industry applications, the accumulated project experience data have not been fully utilized for automated generation and feasibility analysis of construction plans. The problem of strong reliance on expert knowledge in cable construction projects is still unresolved. This article proposes a Decision Support System (DSS) model for cable construction projects to solve such kind of issues. Based on modeling and analyzing construction projects data, studying scientific and efficient decision algorithms, the methods and approaches for generating and optimizing construction plans from the dimensions of intelligence and automation are explored. This article analyzes the application scenarios of cable construction projects, and designs a DSS calculation framework for cable construction projects based on the "two libraries and three systems" architecture mode of DSS. It improves the data interfaces of various components, provides a foundation for the bidirectional transmission of data flow and information flow, and optimizes the DSS decision ability. Considering the issues of unstructured and scattered data in cable construction projects, C4.5 model is designed to support the stability of the DSS system. Practice has proven that the proposed DSS model applied in cable construction projects can effectively accelerate the generation of construction plans and optimize equipment usage efficiency.
