Analysis of Power Link Budget and Interference of High Altitude Platform Station Technology in Nusa Tenggara Timur

A large and diversified nation, Indonesia. Nevertheless, there is a pressing need to enhance the telecommunication infrastructure in rural areas. High Altitude Platform Station technology can support 5G in rural locations with wider coverage and capacity. The feasibility of HAPS as an International Mobile Telecommunication base station in a rural location in Nusa Tenggara Timur will be examined in terms of power link budget, optimal frequencies, and infrastructure interference using ITU's method. This research shows that suppressing the system link margin increases HAPS tolerance to severe rain and lowers antenna gain, while the lowest HAPS frequency and access frequency is best. It provides evidence that HAPS can be implemented in rural wireless access services in Nusa Tenggara Timur.
