Research on Differentiated Load Response Method Considering Operation Costs of Load Clusters and its Real Time Verification Scheme

With the extensive accessing of new energy, a number of autonomous microgrids have gradually formed. The problem of frequency fluctuation is more prominent. As a flexible regulated resource, local load clusters can participate in the frequency response of regional power grid. In order to realize the high economy and fast response of load cluster, differentiated load response method considering operation costs of load clusters and the real-time verification scheme are proposed in this paper. By detecting the frequency change and voltage change of the system, the regulation potential of different types of loads can be calculated. According to the operating cost of the load cluster, the optimal power allocation of the load unit is determined. Finally, a microgrid contains energy storage units, inductive motors, electrical heating devices and lighting devices are built in RTDS platform to verify its feasibility.
