Adaptive Control Strategy for Rapid Charging of Electric Vehicle Battery Pack

Quick electric vehicle (EV) charging has become essential for widespread EV adoption but poses challenges, notably in the degradation of lithium-ion batteries, irrespective of physical limitations. To address the above-mentioned issue, this paper presents Modified Enhanced Horse Herd Optimization (MHHO) technology, designed to fasten and optimize battery charging. The MHHO approach was rigorously evaluated through simulations to assess its feasibility and suitable outcomes. The results demonstrated its potential to significantly reduce battery charging durations while maintaining operational efficiency. Crucially, this approach incorporates real-time control mechanisms to ensure that the charging process adheres to safe temperature and voltage parameters.
