Sustainable AI Cinemagraph Photography Art for the Preservation of Batik Malang

Kabupaten Malang, which is located in East Java Province, is one of the tourist destinations, especially for the people of East Java and around Kabupaten Malang. The tourism potential in Kabupaten Malang has become quite diverse, encompassing Malang Batik as a cultural art form specific to the region. Traditionally, when people think of batik, the association is often with Central Java, such as Yogyakarta Province, Solo City, or Kabupaten Klaten. However, it's worth nothing that some areas outside Central Java also boast distinctive batik patterns. Therefore, we have been interested in exploring how to preserve and introduce the batik production of Kabupaten Malang and its producers, particularly Rumah Batik Pandan Arum. By leveraging technological developments in the field of photography and with the goal of ensuring the sustainability of this art form, we have been actively engaged in these efforts. Cinemagraph was chosen as a medium for batik preservation. The research method carried out in this study is a qualitative research method plus a data survey in the form of an affirmative questionnaire. Data Processing in the form of analysis from the results of interviews and media design in the form of photography developed into a AR cinemagraph photography led by Batik Pandan Arum.
