Dual-band Bandpass Filter with High Signal Isolation using Meander Resonator

In this paper, a small-sized dual-band bandpass filter (BPF) is designed for minimal insertion loss and maximum isolation. The dual-band is created with an asymmetric resonator, which allows the design to control the frequencies of the first two resonant modes. This results in a small, flexible structure for mid-frequency and high performance. The achievement of a dual-band filter is present in resonant frequencies at 0.9/1.575 GHz, accompanied by a significant 50 dB isolation between two passbands. The return loss surpasses 20 dB, while the simulated insertion losses are at 0.64 dB for 0.9 GHz and 0.53 dB for 1.575 GHz.
