RoboMind: Supporting Older Adults Through Robotic Web Applications

Although robotics have become increasingly incorporated into a variety of fields, their efficacy in assisting an aging population is still a subject of active investigation. This paper introduces RoboMind for social assistive a novel program developed for the NAO robot that distinguishes itself from existing literature by providing a custom-tailored, intelligent scheduling system designed specifically for senior citizens, particularly those living alone or in shared housing. This study delves deeply into the incorporation of technological enhancements and usercentric design principles to make RoboMind adaptive and userfriendly. Using the NAO robot's capabilities, this research is a pioneer in ensuring that reminders are contextually aware and not just mechanical notifications, with the goal of improving the emotional and physical health of the older adults. Our exhaustive analysis of RoboMind encompasses design complexities, user feedback, and potential repercussions, thereby providing a foundational framework for future endeavors intending to meaningfully combine robotics and support of older adults.
