With the rapid development of economy and the advent of digital information era, the facial recognition technology (FRT) has been widely used in various fields of society. With the continuous maturity of the technology, the market demand of FRT will be accelerated, and with it will come a series of hazards and risks. The application status of FRT technology in public life is introduced, the potential legal risks brought by the application of FRT technology are analyzed, the public's views on the risks and then' awareness of rights protection are investigated, and the suggestions on the regulation of legal risks of FRT application are put forward.
