Multi-Objective Stochastic Optimization for EV and Renewable DG Integration

Renewable energy sources play a vital role in reducing carbon footprint associated with transportation and electricity generation. This paper explores potential integration of electric vehicles (EVs) and renewable distributed generation (DG), highlighting energy efficiency benefits. EV and DG coordination with the use of vehicle-to-grid (V2G) technology along with system reconfiguration is proposed to not only incentivize participation in renewable arbitrage market, but to address integrational complications such as power losses incurred by additional system loading due to EV charging and energy exchanges between EVs and DGs. A 134-bus distribution network with the presence of EVs and renewable DGs is analyzed to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed method.
