The Establishment of Tourism Parallel Corpus and Its Application in Teaching

Corpus linguistics is an inter discipline incorporating with linguistic analysis, language education, research approach, statistic and information technology and etc. In recent years, the corpus has played an important role in education. This study discusses the specific steps of establishing tourism parallel corpus, mainly including corpus planning, collecting, denoising, alignment, tagging/segmentation and retrieval application by adopting various software such as ParaConc, CLAWS, and Corpus Word Parser. Besides, the self-built corpus finds its application in language teaching and learning.
