Research on the Activity and Emission Characteristics of Tractor-Trailers Based on Remote Monitoring

By utilizing internet technology for real-time collection of motor vehicle emission running data, a modern technical means has been provided for studying motor vehicle emission status. In this article, we conducted research on the activity features and emission levels of China V heavy-duty tractors based on the car-mounted OBD system and remote data collection technology via the internet. The study found that heavy-duty tractors have a higher proportion of daytime operation and operate in the high-speed section. High NOx are concentrated in high-load and super high-speed working conditions, and the NOx emission rate of the vehicle under high-speed low-load conditions does not increase significantly. By conducting emission inspections during the day, reducing overloading, and increasing the average speed, we can effectively reduce the NOx emission level of vehicles.
