A High Port-isolation Four-modes Meta-surfaces Antenna Using Characteristics Mode Analysis

This paper proposes a meta-surfaces (MTS) antenna, which utilizes four independently controllable regional current combinations. From the perspective of characteristics mode theory, we analyze the influence of independently manipulated current on other regions and design four quadrature mode patterns around 2.3 GHz. The simulation results demonstrate that the antenna possesses a bandwidth of 0.14GHz for $\vert S_{\mathbf{11}} \vert \lt -10$ dB, a relative bandwidth of 6%, the worst isolation of 22.7 dB, and a profile height of 0.06 wavelengths. Finally, we configure the amplitude and phase of the port feed to achieve polarization diversity.
