An Innovative Noninvasive and Wireless Approach for Simultaneous Monitoring of Cerebral Blood Flow and Brain Oxygen Saturation

Cerebrovascular disease not only to regional hemodynamics but also regarding oxygen tension within this discerning cerebral milieu. The present investigation introduces a noninvasive monitoring system synergizing inductive sensing and near-infrared spectroscopy techniques to enable real-time assessment encompassing dual modalities: cerebral blood flow and brain oxygen saturation. We observed a compelling congruence between fluctuations within cerebral blood flow frequencies and corresponding oscillations detected via finger pulse measurements. Moreover, this investigation successfully unveiled an inherent association linking alterations discerned in fingertip blood oxygen levels with relative variations of parameter Q captured. These results present valuable solutions for personalized treatment management of cerebrovascular disease.
