A Wideband Filtering Laminated Resonator Antenna for 28-GHz Applications

A wideband filtering laminated resonator antenna (LRA) with two radiation nulls is proposed in this paper. The LRA is fed by microstrip line through three coupling slots, and works at the fundamental TE101 mode. The higher order TE 201 mode is utilized to generate a radiation null at the upper edge of the passband. To introduce another lower edge radiation null, a shunt resonator is designed using the microstrip line.
