X-band 30kW High Suppression Band-stop Filter Used for Deep Space Exploration

In order to suppress the clutter interference from ultra-high power transmitter to receiver in deep space exploration, a design method of high-power band-stop filter based on waveguide structure is proposed. Reduced waveguide multi-level impedance transformation technology is adopted in main channel of the filter, and a short circuit tuning device is loaded on both sides of the main channel through gradient crack crossing. This not only reduces the volume of the filter and achieves a significant suppression effect on the stop band, but also minimizes the impact on the pass-band signal transmission and improves the overall power capacity of the filter. The structure design and sample processing of the filter were carried out. Through testing and experiment, suppression of more than 105dB, insert loss of less than 0.1dB, and power capacity higher than 30kW can be obtained.
