Wideband Co-Linearly Polarized Antenna with High Isolation for In-Band Full-Duplex Application

A wideband co-linearly polarized magneto-electric dipole antenna for in-band full-duplex application is proposed. The antenna structure is compact because of the partially overlapping two magneto-electric dipoles. Notably, it has high isolation between the transmitting and receiving ports by employing the self-decoupling structure without introducing any additional feeding network or extra footprint. The proposed antenna has a wide impedance bandwidth from 1.97 to 2.76 GHz with isolation over 22 dB. Further, the over 40 dB isolation bandwidth is 300 MHz, from 2.2 to 2.5 GHz. The radiation pattern remains broadside in the whole frequency bandwidth.
