Estimating renewable energy sources using Fermatean picture fuzzy ELECTRE method

Renewable technologies are sources of energy, the maximum use of which reduces environmental impacts and secondary wastes. Solar energy is the primary form. Others include wind, hydro, biomass, biofuel and geothermal energies. Here four types of renewable energies such as solar, hydro, wind and geothermal energies are tested for their carbon dioxide emission, cost, water consumption and life cycle using ELECTRE method on Fermatean picture fuzzy sets. Firstly, these sets are represented in the form of a matrix and normalized. Weight values are calculated using entropy measure. Concordance and discordance interval sets, interval matrices, index matrices, net superior and inferior values are calculated and the alternatives are ranked. It is found using Fermatean picture fuzzy ELECTRE method that wind energy is the most favorable source of renewable energy.
