Microgrid System with Event Triggered Distributed Secondary Control

With ever increasing demand in power, there is a paradigm shift from integrated grids to microgrids to cater small communities or islands. Microgrids are the need of the hour as it is comprises of distributed generation, power converters, telecommunication and loads that are operated in an isolated network where they could be operated in island mode or by integrating to centralized grid. This paper presents a comprehensive analysis, and performance assessment of microgrid system with event triggered distributed secondary control. The mainfocus of this work is to study different problem associated with microgrids (MGs) and to minimize it by using event-triggered communications.Various types of optimization technique and algorithm using event-triggered mechanism are discussed in details. Different event-triggered distributed model control scheme has been studied in this paper.
