A Blockchain-based Study on the Operation of Individual-level Carbon Trading Aggregation Agents

With the introduction and promotion of the "dual carbon" goal, the construction of carbon markets has received widespread attention. Individual-level carbon trading, as an effective supplement to current enterprise-level carbon trading, will help achieve the efficient attainment of the "dual carbon" goal. This paper proposes to use blockchain technology in the construction of the carbon market to study the operation mode of individual-level carbon trading aggregation agents based on blockchain technology. Firstly, the development trend of individual-level carbon trading is analyzed, and its importance is pointed out. Secondly, a carbon market system design scheme of "public chain + side chain" is proposed, which utilizes blockchain public chain technology and side chain expansion technology, where enterprise-level carbon trading is conducted on the public chain, and high-frequency small-scale individual-level carbon trading is conducted on the side chain. Finally, this paper constructs a side chain ecology and a model of a price-driven mechanism for individual carbon assets, including five basic assumptions and equilibrium analysis, providing a solution and model support for the development of blockchain systems.
