Evaluating suitable alloy for thermocouple using ELECTRE 1 method

Thermocouples also referred to as thermo electrical thermometer is an electrical device that constitutes two electrical conductors that are dissimilar and form an electrical junction. Thermocouples based on alloys of various concentration of metals produce temperature dependent voltage due to thermo electric effect and the voltage thus obtained is interpreted to measure and monitor temperatures. Four different types of conductor alloys such as Platinum Rhodium, Copper Nickel, Nickel Chromium and Nicrosil Nisil are investigated for their temperature range, sensitivity, response time and durability. It is determined using bipolar picture fuzzy soft ELECTRE 1 method that the best conductor alloy for thermocouples is Nickel Chromium.
