Minimizing Outage Probability and BER using Cooperative NOMA in Dual Base Station Systems

In this paper, we propose a novel method for enhancing the system performance in a dual-base station environment by utilizing cooperative non-orthogonal multiple access (NOMA). The dual base stations (BSs) cooperate along with cell edge users which act as relays to achieve a higher data rate, lower bit error rate, lower outage probability, and better spectrum utilization. These BSs effectively manage signals from both nearby and far users by using clustering. Here we also present a new clustering scheme called not so near - not so far (NSN-NSF) clustering. In this integrated approach, user clustering and pairing play integral roles, enabling BSs to efficiently relay data through cell edge users. As a result, the proposed method significantly enhances signal quality and data rates, even in challenging channel conditions experienced by the base stations. The simulation results shows the proposed clustering scheme improves quality of service by reducing outage probability and bit error rate using cooperative NOMA system for indoor and outdoor locations.
