A Shared Energy Storage Planning Method Considering Source Load Matching of Multiple Microgrids

Under the "Dual Carbon" initiative, the substantial integration of distributed generation (DG) has made the high penetration of renewable energy an challenging issue. The interconnection of adjacent microgrids within the same region to form multi-microgrid systems through interconnection lines has emerged as a crucial approach for achieving regional energy cooperation and promoting on-site DG consumption. This paper focuses on multi-microgrid systems equipped with shared energy storage. Firstly, a load coupling index between grids is proposed to combine and partition microgrids; Secondly, with the goal of minimizing the overall operating cost of multiple microgrids, the interaction power between microgrids is optimized; Finally, considering the DG consumption rate and the economic benefits of energy storage, the shared energy storage planning and configuration will be carried out. The proposed approach effectively enhances the economic performance of multi-microgrid operations, augments on-site DG consumption capabilities, and significantly improves energy storage utilization.
