Review on Modeling Technology of Energy Storage Converters for New Energy Generation

With a large proportion of new energy penetration into the power grid, due to the power generation characteristics of new energy, resulting in the stability of the power grid, it is urgent to solve this problem. This paper describes and explains the structure, working principle and control method of the grid type energy storage converter and the grid type energy storage converter for new energy generation, and analyzes the control model establishment and control strategy optimization of the two at home and abroad. Compare the advantages and disadvantages of grid following energy storage converters and grid forming energy storage converters, and the hybrid energy storage converter is proposed. A simple model is established using PSD-BPA to analyze the advantages of the hybrid energy storage converter and the role played by the grid type and the grid type converter. The future development direction of the energy storage converter is pointed out.
