Service Restoration Strategy for Distribution Network with Energy Storage Integrated Soft Open Points

The frequent occurrence of extreme natural disasters leads to the fault of distribution network. Energy storage integrated soft open point (ES-SOP) is a flexible power electronic device with multiple functions such as power flow transfer, energy storage and reactive power compensation, which can effectively improve the load restoration capability of the distribution network. This paper proposes a service restoration strategy for distribution network based on ES-SOP. Firstly, the basic structure and principle of an ES-SOP are analyzed, and its power balance model and operation constraint are established. Then, an optimization model with the maximum restoration of critical load and noncritical load is established. We proposed the structural constraints of radiant network considering various distributed energy resources. Finally, the test results of IEEE 33-node system show that the ES-SOP can significantly promote load restoration capacity of distribution network by 8%.
