Research on Power Quality Optimization of the Microgrid Based on Active Power Filter

with the large-scale distributed generators (DGs) penetrating in the microgrid (MG), the employment of a number of nonlinear power electronic devices has introduced serious harmonic problems. Therefore, effective power quality optimization methods are of great significance to promote the application and development of clean energy in MG. In this paper, a design scheme of dynamic harmonic compensation based on active power filter (APF) is proposed. Based on the analysis of its structure and working principle, the design methods of key parts, such as harmonic current detection based on d-q transformation, compensation current tracking based on current hysteresis, and DC side voltage control based on PI feedback are developed, and the simulation research is carried out on the MATLAB platform. The waveform results and harmonic analysis data show that APF can effectively improve the current waveform distortion and reduce the harmonic content, so as to realize the power quality optimization of the MG, and thus provide a certain reference value for the following research on harmonic control of the MG.
