The Problem of Developing Automated Project Estimation Methods in Software Engineering

The development of automated project estimation methods in software engineering is a pressing challenge with far-reaching implications for the industry. Accurate project estimation is fundamental to effective project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, due to raising number of IT projects everyday it is necessary to reduce manual labor for project managers and automate a subset of tasks in project analysis and estimation. By surveying existing research and best practices, this paper aims to combine the results of development of recent technologies with new approaches of solving the problem.
