Cost-benefit analysis of rooftop solar at a multi-storied commercial building in Newtown, Kolkata

This paper aims to evaluate the performance of a grid-connected rooftop solar plant on a commercial building situated at Newtown, Kolkata. In this paper, the annual energy consumption of the studied building is estimated through the eQUEST 3.65 building energy simulation tool, and the generation of solar power corresponding to rooftop PV at the exact building location is evaluated through PVsyst and a detailed cost-benefit analysis has been done for the same rooftop solar project, having the installed capacity of 125 kWp.
