Development of Microfluidic Chips for Impedance Studies of Tumor Cells

The development and research of antitumor drugs requires the creation of new solutions for personalized medicine, in particular, integrated devices for testing the effectiveness of drugs based on microfluidic systems. Such systems allow rapid assessment of small volumes of samples of both cells and supracellular structures, including those taken from real patients. In this work, such a system is implemented on the basis of polymer materials using laser ablation and thermal bonding technologies with integrated electrodes. With their help, an impedance study of rat glioma samples was carried out. The frequency dependences of the impedance modulus were obtained, and equivalent circuits were constructed for the reduced sample capacity as a marker parameter of the effect of the drug on the sample. The developed system can be used in clinical diagnostic practice in a hospital setting.
