Reliability Analysis of Transient Process and Steady State Calculations in MATLAB/Simulink

The MATLAB/Simulink software designed for interdisciplinary modeling of complex technical systems, is one of the few tools that allows you to model power systems that include not only traditional generation sources and network elements, but also innovative elements that are rapidly integrated into existing power systems. The author studied the theoretical aspects of modeling generating equipment in a MATLAB/Simulink, analyzed the comparison of the results of calculating transients and steady-state simulation mode in a MATLAB/Simulink with the results of calculating the RUSTAB and MUSTANG software complex, created directly for the study of electromechanical transients, and also considered the features of modeling in a MATLAB/Simulink.
