Different Cascaded Modified Forms of Fractional Order Compensation for Unstable Non-Minimum Phase Systems and Plants with Transport Delay

Fractional Order (FO)Lead/lag compensators in its performance are superior and more flexible with its non-integer orders in contrary to the integer order (IO) ones. In the control systems designed in the domain of frequency, phase lead compensation is one of the most commonly used techniques. Desired predefined frequency domain traits with phase which will be maximal at the specified new frequency where the gain plot makes intercepts or cross-over occurs can be attained accurately with the supplementary parameter, the fractional order of this new form of lead compensator. Therefore, here in this work, a solution of this compensator pole-zero locations dependent on its different corner frequencies which are exact and unique with the additional parameters in its generalized form is deliberated with MATLAB simulated results on some practical numerical examples adopted.(132 Words)
