Quantum Computing Outreach: Raising Public Awareness and Understanding

Quantum computing is a Technology that is frantically growing. It revolutionizes many industries for all different types of things and will solve problems that transpositional computers have not thought of yet. Quantum computing is the marriage of quantum mechanics, computer science, and information theory to process and store data using quantum bits known as qubits. Unlike classical bits, which are bound to exist exclusively in the 0 or 1 state, qubits capitalize on the principle of superposition, allowing them to live in several states simultaneously. This distinction permits quantum computers to simultaneously perform computations on a massive amount of data, substantially improving classical computers’ speed and efficiency. In addition to superposition, another essential characteristic of qubits that contributes to quantum computers' substantial lead over classical computers is entanglement, which allows two or more particles to connect and share information instantaneously, no matter how far apart. This property can improve our communications security and data transfer.
