Abstract:

The objective of this study is to attest the photoelectrochemical parameters, specifically the fill factor and efficiency of the (3) different concentrations: 10%, 40%, and 70% of the extracted phytodyes of carabao grass (Paspalum conjugatum) as photosensitizers in a dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). On account of an eco-friendly and renewable alternative over silicon as a photosensitizer in conventional solar cells. The conventional solar cells are typically used for harnessing energy from sunlight, whereas DSSCs are capable of both harnessing electrical energy from sunlight and indoor lighting environment with little illuminance level [1]. Moreover, this research also aims to determine the significant difference of the extracted phytodyes of carabao grass (Paspalum conjugatum) as photosensitizers in a dye-sensitized solar cell in terms of its different concentrations: 10%, 40%, and 70%.
