A Novel Scheme Based on Optimization for Controlling the Speed of PMBLDC Motor

This study employs an innovative PID controller based on optimization to regulate the speed of a Permanent Magnet Brushless DC (PMBLDC) motor. Utilizing Energy Valley Optimizer (EVO), the PID controller is optimized. Popular motor types include PMBLDC motors, which are inexpensive and simple to assemble. The PID controller's high usability is attributable to its straightforward construction and reliable operation. However, tuning the PID controller's parameters is time-consuming, and sometimes, optimal value finding becomes more challenging. So, an error remains between the setpoint and the obtained output signal. The motor's speed is regulated by utilising a novel controller, the EVO-PID controller. The results from the suggested controller are compared to other reported controllers. It is seen from the simulations that the new controller performs better than other controllers.
