Investigating the Effects of Promoting the Development of the Digital Economy in the Chengdu-Chongqing Region Using the Example of Building Digital Infrastructure

Promoting the quickening of the construction of the Chengdu-Chongqing twin-city economic circle has taken on a general trend. Focus on creating a new pattern of digital cooperation to keep up with the new trend of digital development. The goal of this study is to analyze the various effects of the establishment of digital infrastructure in the twin-city economic zone of Chengdu and Chongqing. It also supports the idea that the expansion of the digital economy in the Chengdu-Chongqing area would be favorably impacted by this aggregation effect. For empirical testing, this study collects data about the digital infrastructure in Sichuan Province and Chongqing City using the statistical methods of normalcy test and correlation analysis. The results lead to the following conclusions: Better digital infrastructure construction aids in the growth of the digital economy, and this promotion has a clustering effect on the local economy. Also, pertinent countermeasures are suggested for key elements of digital infrastructure and key arteries in the growth of the digital economy.
